Drag Queens Storm The Waldorf For M.a.c.

Although I spent my entire childhood in Waldorf, I never felt like I belonged. This suburban area was not really a good area. I was surrounded by people, peers even, that would do drugs and partake in shady activities. Waldorf isn't a rough area like the Bronx or the deep parts of Philly, it just isn't what's considered 'safe' or a 'good' area. Luckily, I'm in college, out-of-state, in a place where I finally feel like I belong. At the high school I went to, almost everyone was either white or black; I was part of the 1-2% Asian population of the school. I didn't have anyone to relate to.

Everybody made things so 'black and white', leaving me feel excluded. Thankfully, I do not have to worry about that in college, since I attend a school that is very diverse. Waldorf is expanding and become more modern. I found the people to be friendly and helpful. I like that there are several different science, math and technology schools in the Waldorf area.

Being a person who loves technology, I was very excited when Charles County opened a brand new state-of-art Science & Technology school with a large observatory facility. About three years ago, Charles County built a huge modern library with new technology and learning equipment. The County also opened several new entertainment/activities facilities, movie theaters, and restaurants. Charles County has improved the living conditions for its residents by street modernization and expanding the transportation modes for traveling throughout the county.

I would like to see Waldorf City Executives collaborate with Metro Representatives to extend the subway rail system to Charles County and further into Southern Maryland area. Also develop a 3-Year Plan to improve the school systems in Waldorf.

VH1 You've seen them sashay down the runway on 'RuPaul's Drag Race' and now they're here to storm downtown Phoenix with style and panache. On Tuesday, Oct. 9, the stars of the Emmy-winning reality series will hit the stage at the Orpheum Theatre with an all-star revue that includes comedy, dance and burlesque acts with some fan-favorite queens. The worldwide tour, Werq the World, showcases the long-running TV series' latest finalists: Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Eureka and Kameron Michaels, alongside veteran 'Drag Race' alum including Bob the Drag Queen, Violet Chachki and Kim Chi. Here's a little about each of the seven queens who'll demonstrate their own brands of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.

Drag Queens Storm The Waldorf For M.a.c.e

Aquaria The reigning titleholder of 'America's Next Drag Superstar' has ushered in the 'Age of Aquaria.' The outspoken and fashionable performer made headlines during her last Phoenix gig when she stood up for an audience member who had a drink thrown at them. Be on your best behavior, children. Quotable: 'Some girls in the workroom chose to read books. I chose to turn looks.' Asia O'Hara The sweet and spritely Southern pageant queen gained a reputation in Season 10 for her effervescent charm and nurturing attitude. Despite that butterfly finale faux pas, this Texan has many clamoring for an 'Asia O'Hara's Drag Race.' Quotable: 'It's about to be Asia O'Hara's Drag Race!

I'm about to own this whole building!' Bob the Drag Queen The eighth 'Drag Race' winner is bawdy, bold and revolutionized the way one should enter a room: purse first. As emcee for the evening, Bob's acerbic humor is bound to incite laughs after a turn guest hosting VICELAND's 'Trixie & Katya Show.' Quotable: 'If my intentions were to hurt you, you'd be crying right now, bitch!' Eureka Tennessee's 'Elephant Queen' Eureka O'Hara originally competed during the ninth season but was brought back this year to vie for the crown again.

Always an exclamation, Eureka made it to the final round and owned her larger-than-life persona through a body-positive anthem,'The Big Girl.' Quotable: 'I am trying to focus — on that D.' Kameron Michaels The muscular and tattooed 'Bodybuilder Barbie' wowed RuPaul and won fans over in Season 10 for her fantastical looks as a butterfly beauty, a Technicolor mermaid and an ice princess warrior. The Nashville native made it to the Top 3 and has been speaking up since hitting the road. Quotable: 'Well, I auditioned for Pit Crew, but this is gonna be way more fun!' Kim Chi This fierce Korean-American Chicago-based queen owned the 'fat, femme and Asian' labels and propelled herself as a finalist in Season Eight. Known for her masterful avant-garde makeup, Kim Chi replicated several of her elaborate visages for sheet masks in collaboration with skin-care brand Patchology. Quotable: 'Donut come for me!'

Violet Chachki Season Seven's victor Violet Chachki brought her Vargas Girl pin-up looks and burlesque act to the main stage in addition to going viral with a highly GIF'able 'tartan eleganza' reveal. The high-fashion darling has recently returned from Europe after taking Milan and Paris fashion weeks by storm.

Quotable: 'Pain is beauty and I'm the prettiest.' RELATED STORIES:. Miss Gay Arizona pageant lauds the best drag performers. Nashville contestant to compete on 'RuPaul's Drag Race'. Photos: 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars' Viewing Party at Kobalt.
